Alex Schmitz is an undergraduate working to obtain a degree in agribusiness. In his free time he enjoys going to K-State sporting events, traveling, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He feels working for the McCornack lab will provide him with important knowledge and skills for the future, and it has greatly increased his interest in insects! Alex is interested in pest management from a precision agriculture standpoint and how small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) can provide farmers with the tools and data needed to produce optimum yields. Upon graduating, Alex hopes to pursue a career in crop consulting or business management.
