Sareesa Coleman graduated from Kansas State University in Spring 2014 with a Criminology degree and is currently a research technician in the IPM lab under Dr. Brian McCornack. Lab work includes, but is not limited to, working with MyFields.info, keeping and maintaining aphid colonies, ELISA how-to videos, data entry, and greenhouse studies. During the spring and summer seasons, she helps with pollinator surveys, spatial distribution, NDVI and closed cage studies. Working in the lab has helped her to understand that not all insects or bugs are bad! Coming from an entirely different background, she has adapted quite quickly and enjoys learning about beneficial and non-beneficial insects.
