Wheat seed grower directory

The overall goal of this module is to connect growers with foundation seed dealers via a web-based or online directory based on a grower’s farm location and variety interests. The creation of such a directory allows for the tracking of customer needs and help identify key factors influencing variety selection. Currently, the Kansas Certified Seed Directory is produced in print on a yearly basis and available through University and Extension outlets in addition to a digital version (PDF file) that can be downloaded from the internet.

Quick count for H. zea in sorghum

The Sorghum Headworm Decision Support System is provided as a tool for sorghum producers, crop consultants, and others involved in sorghum insect pest management. The system was designed by the USDA Agricultural Research Service, Oklahoma State University, West Texas A&M University, and Kansas State University. The system can help you identify sorghum pests, learn more about their biology, and determine the economic threshold for headworms in your sorghum field. You can print a sequential sampling form for use in sampling your field.
